I Green Day annullano il concerto previsto per il 29 Maggio a Mosca in segno di solidarietà nei confronti dell’Ucraina

È stata la stessa band americana ad annunciare su Instagram la scelta di annullare lo show che avrebbe avuto luogo allo stadio dello Spartak.

“With heavy hearts, in light of current events we feel it is necessary to cancel our upcoming show in Moscow at Spartak Stadium” hanno scritto in una stories sul profilo ufficiale. “We are aware that this moment is not about stadium rock shows, it’s much bigger than that. But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we feel confident there will be a time and a place for us to return in the future. Refunds available at the point of purchase. Stay safe.”

L’invasione russa in Ucraina sta avendo ripercussioni anche nel mondo della musica.
Non solo i Green Day, ma anche altre band e artisti come gli Imagine Dragons, One Republic e i nostri Mario Biondi e Måneskin hanno rinunciato alle date del tour previste in Russia.

La Russia inoltre, è stata bandita dall’imminente Eurovision Song Contest che si terrà a Torino.
